RFID – identifying objects with radio signals over short distances is a
field that is showing strong growth. Applications are to be found
almost anywhere: in industry, logistics, vehicles, consumer goods,
commerce and many other areas. The normal frequencies for RFID are
125kHz, 13.56MHz, 868MHz, 915MHz and 2.4GHz.
As a result, the circuit technology in the HF section is hardly any
different from wireless solutions in the same frequency ranges. And the
antenna technology is particularly important as it determines the range
of an RFID system to a huge degree.
